can use Karabiner to make it a super modifier key equivalent to Ctrl Opt Command Shift. Karabiner-Elements key modifiers stopped working with macos 10.13.6 I updated my MacBook's macOS to 10.13.6 today and since then my key modifiers (caps lock->esc/ctrl, right cmd+hjkl arrow keys) stopped working.

Update or add new rules by following Add rules section. Fork this repository to your github account. Choose target device, then press Add item button. If you want to publish your own rules into complexmodification repository, follow this step. You can change a key to another key on Simple Modifications tab. Karabiner-Elements Preferences > Complex Modifications > Rules > Add rule. It would work by first mapping the tab key to a true modifier key (eg right_control which would be a good choice since I physically don't have it on my keyboard) and then using right_control instead of tab in the mandatory modifiers list above. My Hammerspoon config relies on the above Karabiner Elements mod. Import rules from Karabiner-Elements Preferences. when pressing c (either in combination with tab or without), the to is triggered (entering the text "tab").when first pressing tab, the tab key is still passed through.
